"I have a flash new camera. It should be much easier to take photos everyday."

These are words I'll probably eat now for ever saying. But yes, for those who are connected to me on Facebook will know that I have begun a 365 Photo Project. For the next 356 days I aim to take a photo each day. Simple? Yes. Easy? No.

It all began when I, after months of saving and waiting for the perfect sale, bought Jerome my new Canon 700D DSLR camera (named after Jerome from Switchfoot - because Jon and Tim as camera names don't work too well). For a good portion of my teenage life I've borrowed the family's 400D, and later on my boyfriend's 600D when I had to work at concerts. No longer wanting to rely on borrowing other cameras, it felt good to finally invest into my own. It was like living out all the dreams I had. I wanted to be that person capturing moments every day just like I used to in high school at the peak of my photography passion.

"I'll take photos every single day! I'll always be prepared in every moment. I will capture beautiful things."

16 days later, I'm still going - just.

Another year, another VMAs. Another year of questionable tastes in fashion.

This year didn't really seem as exciting as last year's, or as interesting. The only saving grace was probably Beyonce, as per usual.

But thankfully, there's always something to talk about when it comes to VMAs fashion, because in the words of our Lorde, "What is this?"

"What is this?!" - that @lordemusic is what they call a romper hahaha best gif ever http://t.co/NjYr8wd9Ib

Best/Worst Matching Couple:
Katy Perry and Riff Raff.
They're the best matching couple because they match really well, yet again they match and it's super ugly, which makes it the worst. So I'm very conflicted with the best award to give them. But I do have two questions:
1) why are they doing a Britney and Justin?
and 2) who is Riff Raff?

Slotted in between 1885 and Britomart Country Club is a new burger joint modestly titled 'Better Burger'. What makes this place better? Well that was the question on everyone's minds.

My ex-uni friends and I (I call them the homegurls) have done a fair bit of touring together around the city's food establishments (and fun fact, they inspired my idea of the first Food Tour Party). From our student tight times of $5 takeaway meals at Wendy's to more recently Burger Burger on Ponsonby Road, our tastebuds understood what a good burger was. And for the first time, no one in this food tour party had ever tried this place before, so it was to be a brand new experience for all. My friend had overheard Better Burger described as 'good burgers but at McDonald's prices'. With that description it was hard to figure out what we were to expect.

Welcome to Thursday's Take Note Tracks.

Basically it's an attempt of a weekly feature where I will share with you tracks you should take note of - whether good, bad or bizarre. Because everyone loves to be at the forefront of new music before everyone else, you indie wannabees.

George Ezra - Blame It On Me

If you live in New Zealand, you would have heard George Ezra's song 'Budapest' (currently #1 on the NZ RIANZ charts). He came to New Zealand recently where at work he did a studio interview I filmed, and honestly he seems like a funny, down to earth guy who's really talented. And when he sang a bit of 'Budapest' acapella and it captivated me. So for the past week I've been listening to George Ezra's music and fell in love with the album. The video for 'Blame It On Me' only came out a few days ago, and this song is amazing, and really catchy.
Take note: Britain's best export since Ed Sheeran. He's also super tall.
