currently: still with a working laptop!

One of the worst feelings in the world is finding out that you could lose 9 years of work on one faulty laptop.

I don't know what went wrong, but this afternoon after I came back from a school session, my laptop didn't work. It wouldn't start up properly, and when it did, it would freeze, then proceed to give me the BLUE SCREEN.

And this blue screen is like blue screen of terror. To cause you to freak out and "politely" tell you that *ahem* YOU'RE SCREWED.

so I'm here, at home, very cold (cause for some reason, Spring has totally disappeared for Antartica...) and my computer tells me that I may only get stuck with the measley USB stick as all that is remaining.

I'm panicking.

In my mind, I'm going through all the folders and files I have. My 2000+ music, 5 years worth of photos, my schoolwork...everything.

I think its good to have moments like these though.
I mean - no it's not good to realise you'd lose ALL the work you've ever done, and that you should be kicking yourself for NOT backing up your files.
But it does give you a realisation on HOW MUCH we do rely on technology.
It is ridiculous. Like I thought I could slightly contain myself when it comes to my laptop.

But I can't.
I spent a decent hour curled up in the fetal position, wondering what is gonna happen to my life, because all my schooling career, any possible future jobs, all lost...

Think I need a slap in the face.
And here I am, blogging about it all.

So from this...I've learnt 3 things.

1) BACK UP EVERYTHING on like cd or something.
2) Do anti-virus checks more often.
3) GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GET A LIFE.

That seems fair right? :D
